Contents Page Draft

My contents page will include my three other photos. They will be linked to pages on the side of contents page.I think it is more proffesional compared with my front cover as it will look sleeker and less colourful.It will include a small portion ion the side which I have yet not decide on but it will probably be a small notice, nothing to long.The colours I am thinking of using are blues and reds . These are colourful but work nicely together and create that proffesional finish I am looking for.

Front page draft

This is my first draft of my front page. As i said earlier I have infused a range of colours into the front cover to brighten it up and make it more welcoming .I have added a little personal message to the cover making the magazine more personal to the people of the school and added the logo i have created earlier. I have not yet added my final photo to the cover but I will later on .It will be near enough half the size of the cover and might fade under the text and logo. It is intended to attract the pupils , teacher , parents  but mainly sixth formers.

More Annotations

I looked at some more magazine covers and contents pages for some ideas on what to add for mine. I thought it was very helpful looking at a larger variety of magazines than the two previously.

Action Plan

I have started late but oh well :)
Tuesday 20th September- Today I will anotate two magazines with one including a contents page to view the type of designs that i could use but also to judge other magazines.
Wednesday 21st September - Today I am going to draft my front page for my magazine and list ideas that I have for it .
Thursday 22nd September - Today I will draft my contents page and hopefully take the pictures I will use for my magazine.
Friday 23rd September - I will anotate the pictures I took  yesterday and develop my magazine drafts.

Preliminary Brief Task

Using DTP and an image manipulation program , produce the front page of the school/college magazine , featuring a photograph of a student in medium close up plus some appropriately laid out text and a masthead. Additionally candidates must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.
